
About me
I am a qualified Counsellor, I offer a safe, non-judgemental confidential space. I have advanced specialist training in managing anxiety disorders and depression. This therapy helps you to get in touch with feelings underlying your depression and /or anxiety. It helps you to make sense of the feelings whilst offering support and strategies to help manage and improve your quality of life.
In my past, I gained first-hand experience of being a counselling client and I found it to be hugely inspiring and transformative. My passion and drive to become a counsellor originated from that experience. I am deeply committed to helping other people to become the person they have always wanted to be.
Currently, I work one day a week as a part-time volunteer counsellor for North Devon Hospice offering Bereavement Counselling. I have also have experience of working therapeutically with people with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and a Learning Disability. I have experience of working with people in later life and people with life changing illness. I have worked as a Registered Nurse and as a Statutory Advocate supporting people who have a mental health diagnosis, cognitive impairment, and physical disability .
